As Nehemiah wrote, each one of us must build what is directly before him to do.

The job is too big for any one of us to do, but together it is possible.

If all we have is a bunch of separate national forums where thousands of local people communicate to the national level, but no one communicates with their neighbor, then we will not get the job done. We must have horizontal connectivity. We must communicate with our neighbor.

The national voices are in place. What we need now is local voice. We will have local voice when local people in local cities are willing to let their name be known to other people, not just at the national level, but on the local mailing list as well.

The national groups are really no stronger than each local community. The local communities can be no stronger than the people are willing to be heard. If you the people are not willing to be heard in your local community,...if you are not willing to put your name to your voice,...then that's just what it is,... a meaningless voice. What else is a voice without a name. It has no signification. It has no signature. It means nothing for no one knows from whence it came. Please be willing to let your voice be heard.

Emphasis is on your voice,... not just a voice. I can't write to 'a voice'. But I can write to you if you let your name be known. Others can gain strength from seeing your name and hearing what you have to say.

Others can gain strength and courage to support the good work when they see your name in favor of the same. No one is perfect but God. Let us quit being afraid that we won't be perfect in the eyes of some local person. We must quit that false wisdom of staying socially correct by not offending anyone.

Abraham Lincoln explained clearly that we cannot please everyone. Neither can we make good progress if we're too concerned about 'social or political correctness'. Thank you.

Is someone worried about offending people? You can't please every one, especially when you choose to do the right thing. How many people did Jesus offend? A whole lot of people took offense at Him, and He really was perfect. He still is. Jesus Christ, the Same, Yesterday, Today, and Forever.

You can't do what's right without offending a whole lot of people who want to keep the status quo.

Who did Jesus offend? Most of the best people, so called, in the community. But many of them were able to see the light after He stood up for what was right. If He hadn't stood up, where would you and I be?

That's why He says, "Follow thou Me." What does it matter to you what I have others do, He said, but you follow me.

People, I've asked lot's of folks to help do this work. Many in the past have said words to the effect, Well Mr. Rice, I agree with what you're saying, but the bottom line is this, for political, social and economic reasons, I can't publicly support it. Frankly, I hope that attitude changes into one that is more like this, whatever the cost, I will do what is right instead of what is currently comfortable. It often can seem to be easier to lie than to tell the truth. Are we not lying if we fail to lend a voice to what we really believe and instead by our silence do seem to be favoring the opposite? At the very least anyone can see that person is sending out the wrong signals to those in the undecided camp!

I know people are sometimes afraid to put their name on things. I've tasted that fear. It took me a while to get started. I hope it doesn't take you as long as it took me. Let us together stand up and do what is right for the children. Who will teach your children's children if things continue the way they are?

Unless you the parents of today stand up for your children, how will they know what to teach their children?

That's why I am inviting every national group I can contact to do more encouraging of local communication between its members, more than they have been doing before. It needs to change so that the hundred or more people in every city who support a national organization can begin to support their own local effort!!!

What is any national movement but a collection of many little local movements?

How much stronger it all is when each of the members are connected to one another instead of just to the head guy at the national level!

Do you see what I see. We need to be connected horizontally as well as vertically.

Read the speech of Patrick Henry posted on the main site index. Read the words of some of our Founding Fathers. You will gain strength to do what must be done for the children. Read Malachi 4:6 and Genesis 18:19. Read Ezekiel's words to the dry bones. Let us come together in the unity of Christ. Jesus Himself has prayed that we be one. John 17:22 God heard His prayer.
